"De-ratify" the 14th Admendment?!

Don’t look now but we are living in a police state! On April 23^rd, Arizona Congress passed a law that Pres. Obama said “threatened to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans”. When Gov. Jan Brewer(Rep) signs off on the bill, we (the United States) will look an awful like Germany circa 1935-1945! Hey don’t look at me (I did not say it…although I was thinking it)! Cardinal Roger Mahoney of L.A. said "the authority’s ability to demand docs was like “Nazism”…

“Where are you’re papers?” (in a surly East German accent)

The bill says:

1. Failure to carry immigration docs is a crime.
2. Police have the power “when practical” to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally.
3. People can sue the local Government if they believe the state immigration law is not being enforced? (wow! I wish we could do this with other laws..oh wait...we can! LOL)

Is this a racial bill? Or, are the citizens of Arizona sick and tired of the rise in kidnappings and murders in their border towns?

Is this simply another election time bill that forces both political sides to draw a line down the middle? Just for the record past Gov. Janet Napolitano vetoed a similar bill when she was Gov. She is now our Homeland Security Secretary (Dem).

Now, to the point…

What race of immigrants will be next!?

Do you believe our ever increasing African immigrants will be scrutinized in cities where they seem to be a large minority/majority? Will someone take a look at the Haitian overflow in areas like South Florida? Should they?

Do you think there are any illegal Asians in our country? Believe it or not, there are very powerful Asian gangs who control various nefarious activities in cities like L.A. and San Francisco. Do authorities round them up and check their papers?

True story! I have a distant family member (from Cuban descent) that has been naturalized, paying taxes and married for almost 30 years in the U.S. One day he fails to come home from work. After a time, his wife’s concern grows into hysteria. She reports him as a possible missing person. After a few months she is told by the Federal Government that he was taken from his place of employment and detained in another state! (Why? It's any ones guess) His wife then hires an attorney who slowly gets a judge to force the Government to drop all charges. Happy ending? NO! by this time, she is informed that her husband of 20 plus years has been deported back to Cuba!!! Yes, Fidel Castro. Yes, a country he does not know!

Best part is…there’s nothing she, you or I can do about it! This may not be a major concern to you because these crimes against immigrants don’t affect you (YET)! However, if this madness is not stopped how long will it be before some congressman tries to de-ratify the 14th Amendment and declares African Americans really are not citizens!!?

Remember…we are all immigrants here….what makes one race better or more qualified than another?
